Meplato Store

Meplato Store is the catalog-as-a-service application at the centre of the Meplato eProcurement ecosystem, and we authored it. Suppliers use it to prepare, validate and publish their product catalogs to thousands of buying organisations. The numbers are the interesting part: more than 28 million articles under management across 11 countries and 98 connected e-procurement systems, with millions of product and price updates flowing through every day.

Catalog management for suppliers of any size

A supplier logs into a web application, nothing to install, and edits a single article or bulk-changes a million of them. Each supplier can run as many catalog projects as it has customers, each with client-specific configuration, because one buyer's price list is rarely another buyer's price list. Every catalog passes validation and quality checks before it publishes, and classifications map between eCl@ss, UNSPSC and whatever custom taxonomy the buyer uses. The import and update pipelines are what make the millions-a-day figure possible.

Where the catalogs go

A published catalog does not sit in the Store. It lands in the buyer's procurement system. The Store feeds the Mall, Meplato's closed catalog cloud for buyers, and sits next to the Hub, a web shop router connected to more than 2,700 web shops, and the Kiosk for free-text requests. Delivery to SAP SRM and the other major e-procurement systems runs over OCI 5.0 and a JSON transfer format, and catalogs stay synchronised across buying organisations as they change.

The Store API

Suppliers with an ERP or PIM system do not want to click. The Store API covers the full catalog lifecycle, from creating a catalog through validation to publication, so a supplier's own system can push updates continuously. Webhooks report status changes back, and the API ships with documentation and SDKs.
