As far as Intake is concerned, that is a complete purchase request. It checks the supplier directory, checks the company's policy, and routes the request into the procurement process that applies, with the buyer watching every step. The requester never has to learn which internal process they triggered.

The same door is open to software. An agent that has been told to restock a warehouse talks to Intake the way a person does, and lands in the same process with the same policy checks. Neither reduces the buyer's control: Intake enforces the procurement policies and compliance rules, and a person can step in at any point.

Where it stands

Intake is in use with early customers and is shaped by what they run into. Current work: AI-assisted purchasing decisions, catalog management that is automated but still ordinary catalog management, and designing compliance workflows in the UI instead of in a ticket to us. Underneath sits what a procurement platform has to have anyway, comparability across every purchasing channel and competition between them, without a human collecting the quotes.
